JOB DESCRIPTION: Program Coordinator- Indigenous Women Specific Program
Job Summary
This is currently a part-time position.
Essential Job Functions:
Recruit program participants and conduct intake
Create a project work plan with timelines
Work collaboratively with Indigenous communities/populations and other equity-denied groups
Review and revise program curriculum as needed
Maintain accurate and detailed electronic and hard copy client notes/files, including intake, services delivered, and follow ups, and ensure all data is properly stored
Conduct regular follow-ups with current participants and graduated cohorts
Ensure participants are progressing and provide any supports if necessary to ensure participant success
Create a strategy to meet program outcomes/targets and ensure program targets are met on a quarterly basis
Network, interact, and liaise with the local community to market the program
Create monthly, quarterly, and final reports and ensure reports are submitted on time
Work with the finance team to ensure budgets are on track
Work with the Nokee Kwe team to ensure wrap-around services are available.
Utilize social media/other marketing/community venues to promote the program and the messaging of participants
Arrange for guest speakers/trainers that add value to the program, and negotiate fees/honorariums
Create/promote/deliver graduation recognition events
Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for accounting procedures, including invoicing, receipts, and budget management
Issue correspondence to participants, and those on a wait list, who cannot be reached electronically or by phone
Maintain statistics on activities (electronic and hard copy)
Ensure management, funders, and the Nokee Kwe team are kept up to date with program activities
Participate in regular case conferences and team meetings
When required, develop approved partnerships with community groups/organizations and individuals
Facilitate the group-based program
Ensure cultural activities and teachings are delivered in an appropriate way
Participate in cross-training as required
Attend and complete required training/professional development
Educational and Experiential Requirements:
post –secondary degree/diploma in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Indigenous Studies) – preference will be given to those with a related experience and Indigenous cultural knowledge
5+ years related work involving adults
