Announcing the Indigenous Internship Program

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) is preparing to launch an Indigenous Internship Program (IIP) to support the employment and career development of post-secondary graduates. This 12-month paid internship will offer practical experience to recent Indigenous graduates who would like to broaden their knowledge and experience in government and various aspects of agriculture, food, and rural affairs.

This program will offer internship opportunities in environmental management; agriculture development; strategic policy; research & innovation; and corporate services. Candidates will be required to identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit), and confirm they have graduated from a college or university with a diploma, degree or post-graduate certificate within the past five years.
