Happy International Women’s Day
Nokee Kwe is translated from Anishinaabemowin or the Ojibwe language as “Working Woman.” Our non-profit employment and education centre was originally started in the late 1970s to help Indigenous Women find employment in London, the southwestern Ontario area of Canada. It has been open to everyone since the 1980s regardless of gender or race.
Nokee Kwe Board and Staff send their greetings to all women throughout the world on this International Women’s Day 2022.
